II) (S-S) Student to student interaction. Pairs of students engage in conversation , using back-to-back chairs or other communication methods. They discuss their ideas, compare and contrast them, and exchange thoughts.
III) ( Ss-Ss). Students collaborate in groups to work on a specific task, such as creating a group radio jingle for promotional purpose. They work together, share ideas, and jointly complete the assigned project.
IV) (S-Ss) Student- to- students interaction. One student addresses the entire class by presenting their observations or findings to everyone.

b. Describe the challenges of balancing teacher talking time and learner talking time in the online classroom: In online learning settings, there is a tendency for excessive teacher talk time, which can discourage students and limit their participation due to insufficient student talk time. To overcome this challenge, teachers can adapt their lesson plans for online schooling. They can utilize tools like breakout rooms in platform like Zoom to facilitate pairwork and groupwork activities that encourage dialogue and increase student discussion time. Teachers can also use the chat box to promote interaction, either as group discussions (Ss-Ss) or individual interactions (S-S). Additionally, when addressing the entire class, teachers can select a few individuals to present and engage with their ideas. Zoom’s reaction features can also be utilized to engage the whole class and shape lesson plans based on student responses.

c. Explain the value of using self-appraisal, learner feedback and peer-to-peer teaching:
i) Self-appraisal: Self-assessment helps students understand their strength and weaknesses, fostering independence from the teacher. It allows students to evaluate their language abilities without external assistance, promoting self-awareness and identifying areas for improvement.
ii) Learner feedback:
Feedback is crucial for students to assess their progress and identify areas for growth. It can be provided immediately after an activity, with a delay, or as of part of the learning program. Feedback enhances students’ confidence, self-awareness, and motivation to learn, allowing them to focus their effectively.
iii) Peer-to-peer teaching:
Peer teaching involves students instructing each other, sharing knowledge, and providing support. It enhances student engagement and feedback, promotes active learning, and strengthens socialization and relationship-building skills. Peer-to-peer teaching allows students to reinforce their own knowledge while assisting their peers encouraging collaboration and deeper learning.
