Abstract.
In the process of development of oil fields, the gradual decrease of reservoir pressure
ultimately makes it impossible to operate wells by the fountain method. The gas lift method, distinguished by
its low cost and productivity, is one of the widely used methods after operation with the fountain method.
However, as in any technological process, since a large number of factors affect the operation process using
the gas lift method, the productivity of the wells decreases during the process, certain losses occur, and
sometimes accidents occur. These factors, non-stationarity of the process and specific characteristics require
that the optimal operating modes of gas lift wells be periodically determined through research. Based on the
data obtained during those experimental studies, the working management characteristics of the wells are
identified. In the course of research, changing work modes and taking appropriate measurements cause non-
productive losses. In addition, obtaining informative, accurate and valid data during research is one of the main
problems. In modern times, the tightening of requirements for oil extraction, the principle of strict economy
has made the issue of increasing efficiency a priority issue. Therefore, increasing the efficiency of experimental
studies in gas lift oil extraction is an urgent issue.
The main goal of the article is the analysis of the identification of the main characteristics of gas lift
wells. The subject of the research work is based on the investigation of the identification of the main
characteristics of gas lift wells. Active and passive experimental studies in continuous and periodic gas lift
wells as the object of research and the mathematical model, algorithm, management and control systems and
tools applied to realize these studies.
