Abstract: The article analyzes the development of the economy of Azerbaijan since the 2000s and the
role of this development in the generation of waste. It is noted that in 2020, the volume of the gross domestic
product in our country has increased approximately 1.7 times compared to 2010, that is, within 10 years. All
this literally does not pass without impact on the environment, a large amount of production waste is generated
in the operating industrial enterprises. The article mentions that the use and disposal of these wastes is
considered one of the most important issues. In the article, the disposal and use of waste generated as a result
of industrial-production economic activity in our country is given based on the analysis of statistical data. It is
stated that in order to prevent this and to eliminate such situations, the study of the environment and the full
provision of environmental safety should be considered the main priority issue of our country.
