Summer School on Human Rights
"International and Domestic Mechanisms of Protection on Human Rights and Freedoms”
The Moscow School of Human Rights together with the Ural State Law Academy will organize a Summer School on
Human Rights carry out on August 6-25, 2001 in Ekaterinburg, Russia. The topic of the Summer School is
"International and Domestic Mechanisms of Protection on Human Rights and Freedoms". The Summer School is
financially supported by the Open Society Institute(OSI) and UNESCO. .
25 participants from the FSU or Mongolia will be accepted to take part in the School, including young university
teachers, graduate students, NGO's leaders, and human rights activists. The participants will prepare country-
specific curricula on human rights education oriented to needs of target group.
The following topics will be covered:
1.Introduction to Human Rights
2. International and Domestic Mechanisms of Human Rights Protection
3. Human Rights: Content and Methods of Education
The working language of the School is Russian. All participants will receive tuition, travel, accommodation and
meals.
