• Translation is the expression in target language of what has been said in source language preserving stylistic and semantic equivalence.

Task of the translator:

• The translator makes possible an exchange of information between the users of different languages by producing in the target language, a text which has an identical communicative value with the source (or original) text.

In the process of translation translator should fulfill two tasks:

• 1. To understand the correct meaning of the original text.
• 2. To express the content of the original text thoroughly and in a perfect way.

The translator should have the followings:

• knowledge of the languages (at least 2 languages).
• cultural background: ability to interpret the text
• Sufficient vocabulary.
• Grammar, otherwise vocabulary without a grammar is “a brick” that we cannot build anything.
• To know the methods and techniques of translation.
• To have knowledge in the branch which the text belongs to.
