Lecture – 1 Aims and tasks of translation

In rendering the meaning of the sentence we often use adequate translation:

• In expressing the meanings of lexical units in translation we use equivalents, analogues (synonymous words) or descriptive method. Privacy - право на частную жизнь, яшаш ҳуқуқи).

• Sometimes we hear such kind of sentence as “I know every word but I cannot translate the sentence”. The reason of this is not to choose the right meaning of the word:
