ASSESSMENT CRITERIA FOR THE WRITTEN TASK 
 
The written task will be assessed according to the following assessment 
criteria:

1. 
− all content is relevant to the task. Target reader is fully informed; 
− can fully explain the given topic or situation (describing, 
justifying, giving arguments, recommending, offering, etc.); 
− can write at least 80 words in the text; 
− can express his/her attitude to the topic or situation in a correct 
and understandable way; 
− can write in the required format of the text (for example, following 
the rules of writing e-mail, ...); 
− can correctly address the people in the text according to the given 
situation; 
− can follow composition rules (introduction, main part, 
conclusion); 
− text is well organized and coherent, can use variety of cohesive 
devices;
− uses a range of vocabulary and grammatical forms with control 
and flexibility. Occasional errors (up to 3 errors) may be present 
but do not impede understanding;

− minor irrelevances and/or omissions may be present. Target
