The line graph compares the number of tourists traveling overseas from
2000 to 2015, and the pie chart shows the percentage of traveling to 4
different countries in the year 2010.
Overall, there was a slight increase in the number of men and women who
traveled over the period. By far, Canada and England were the most popular
countries to visit in 2010.
Based on the line graph, the number of men traveling abroad accounted for
over 4 million, almost double that of women in 2000. However , these
trends had opposite directions in the next five years. Female travelers’
figure had a sharp rise to a peak of just above 4 million while it plunged to
half that of male tourists.
In the following decade, men’s trend gradually
went up and recovered, unlike women’s trend, which had a significant fall
before rising to just under 3 million in 2015.
According
to the pie chart, Canada had the highest number of travelers,
with 5.7% in 2010. In comparison , England was the second most popular
destination, with 4.2% of tourists.
In contrast , China and Japan were the
least visited. The number of visits had a sharp decline to 1.6% for China.
Similarly , it dropped noticeably for Japan, which received only 0.9% of the
tourists’ overall number.
