HISTORICAL VIEW ON COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN THE TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT OF LANGUAGE FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES M, Togaeva, teacher Gulistan State University
Abstract: Communicative competence refers to the idea that using language
in interaction involves both linguistic form control and context-specific norms.
Communicative competence is a slippery phrase in second language (L2) research,
teaching, and evaluation, especially in languages for specialized purposes (LSP).
LSP and practical linguistics depend on it, which is terrible. Communicative
competence is the objective of second language acquisition, second or foreign
language instruction, and performance testing. contemporary conceptions of
communicative competence may also be problematic adaptations of Hymes’ idea,
changed and typically
simplified to reflect contemporary methods in formal and
functional linguistics and to address practical problems in language instruction
and assessment. This work reexamines communicative competence from three
perspectives: L2 research, teaching, and assessment, emphasizing LSP theory and
practice issues. The study proposes a fuller model of LSP communicative ability
based on previous indigenous evaluation criteria research.
