Methods used in leisure-time pedagogy:
Methods of education in leisure time include activities adequate to the principles
of leisure-time pedagogy. They activate the individual which provides him/her
with new knowledge and experience on the basis of own activities and
experience. The educational effects are intensified with
self-reflection and self-
knowledge. They include games, cooperative activities, methods of experience-
based pedagogy and animation.
Forms of implementing out-of-school-hours education
The educational objectives are achieved through
formal school education
but also through non-formal and informal education carried out by means of a
wide range of leisure-time activities.
Non-formal education offers educational activities
through a variety of
interest groups organised in facilities, centres or structures outside the school
system framework.
Out-of-school-hours education provided in school facilities is also termed as
interest-based education.
