b) Specific schemata
Participial absolute phrases are treated by two schemata (construction rules):
i) Transitive
active
verbs (TRANSACT +) (direct object always expressed, subject NOT
expressed). This rule doesn’t treat sentences (highly stylistically marked) as “Ucciso Cesare
dai nemici, Roma piombò nel caos” (Killed Caesar by the enemies, Rome falled into the
chaos”)
