History of the relationship between technology and translation is based on Cold War between. Soviet Union and United
States of America. During war, there were a lot of documents that needed to be translated in 1950s.However, human were
not able to make translation more than seven-nine pages for a day. In addition, it was very expensive business. Because of
economic demanding, people tried to find cheaper ways for solution. It has resulted in involving of technology in translation
field.
These technology consists of two systems: Computer-assisted translation and Machine translation. It is important not to
confuse two terms. They are used in different sectors.
Computer-assisted translation is also called Computer-aided translation, shortly it is CAT which is reciprocate
translation process between computer and man. Translators benefit from it to make translation process easy, work pleasantly
