Comparative typology of the English and Uzbek languages

This manual covers the entire curriculum of the comparative typology
course. Each section is provided with questions and exercises that monitor
students’ knowledge and stimulate them to self-analysis of the facts of the
language. A glossary, tests and brief overview of the biographies of scientists
who have made a significant contribution to the formation of comparative
typology as a separate subject of linguistics are attached. The manual reflects the
results of research carried out by Uzbek and foreign linguists of the last decade ,
and it is intended for students of foreign languages’ faculties. This coursebook
was prepared in cooperation with the Department of English linguistics of
Bukhara state university and the Department of English language theory and
methods of teaching of Tashkent state pedagogical university named after Nizami.
