Studies on Problems Concerning The Establisment and Care of Lawn Areas
Nowadays, using turfgrass in landscape plans considering their functionality is very popular. The popularity of using turfgrass may also bring some problems due to the unappropriate turfgrass designs and improper applications of maintenance techniques. These missapplications cause increase in initial costs.
In this study, the inaccuracies due to the turfgrass building and maintenance, and rehabilitation techniques are studied on 4 pilot gardens in İstanbul and one pilot garden in Bodrum-Turkbuku. The misapplications that may be observed in these areas are indicated and the necessary measurements are done as well. The proper maintenance studies are also applied considering the measurement results. At the end of the maintenance applications, remarkable changes are observed as well.
