The Development Of An Internet Based Course Registration System Using .Net Technology
The aim of this thesis is to develop a modern and technological method for the student course registration process. At present, there is a classical course registration process at the İstanbul University and the students have to fill in the forms and take these forms to the faculty registration office.
Our method will have a structure which has been developed by NET Framework technology, ASP .NET C# computer language and Nhibernate which is one of the .NET O/RM tools. It will be accessible on the Internet. Thus the software will help our university in this subject.
At present, the student course registration process of the university is difficult, complex and has a high proportion of mistakes. Students and the registration staff members make a lot of mistakes with this classical method.
A smooth and technological registration method is required to prevent this confusion and difficulties. This course registration method will satisfy students and the staff since it will provide a lot of flexibility with its independent time and place feature.
The system has been completed in three stages;
In the first stage, the studies have been started at Hasan Ali Yücel Faculty of Education. We will examine the recent student course registration method at the faculty and notice the current problems and deficient points. Then we have tried to find solutions to these problems.
In the second stage, considering the solutions of the problems the online course registration code had been programmed by using .Net Framework technology, C# software language and Nhibernate.
In the third stage, the code has been tested and the deficiencies had tried to satisfied.
