5. Attention is a reflection of the analytical-synthetic processes of the integrative activity of the human brain.
With damage to the frontal lobes of the brain, there is a violation of the complex patterns of speech-induced activation that form the psychophysiological basis of voluntary attention. This part of the brain, and especially its medial-basal sections, is the cortical apparatus that regulates the state of activity. They play a decisive role in creating the necessary tone of the cortex, one of the most important conditions for human conscious activity. changing the state of alertness in accordance with the tasks assigned to the person. Attention is an indicator of the level of alertness
Cultivating attention as a voluntary mental activity controlled by the individual includes independent work on oneself and the presence of psychological knowledge that guides the work of self-education. To develop voluntary attention, it is important to develop an attitude towards yourself - never work carelessly. It is useful to learn to concentrate and not be distracted when there are work interruptions. In general, the more aware a person is of the activity he is doing, the easier it is for him to concentrate.
The main focus is on the following areas:
1) all types of attention are improved,
2) voluntary and post-voluntary attention develops especially rapidly and begins to occupy a leading position in the regulation of activity;
3) it is customary to work carefully without being distracted by external and internal factors that prevent concentration;
4) attention characteristics develop.
The synthesis of the entire development of attention is the formation of consciousness as a personal characteristic.
The ability to arbitrarily direct mental activity is one of the main characteristics of the human mind. In the process of activity, voluntary attention can become voluntary attention that does not require constant voluntary actions. A person's attention is formed from birth, and in the process of its formation, the interrelated development of memory, speech, etc. takes place. Stages of development:
