Phase - a specific appearance or state during a cycle of changes that occurs frequently
Duplicated chromosome - when a chromosomal region is duplicated, the copy numbers of the genes in that
region of the chromosome change
Prophase - the initial phase of cell division, before to metaphase, during which the nuclear membrane vanishes
and the chromosomes are exposed as paired chromatids
Kinetochore - a specific centromere structure where the microtubular spindle fibers connect during mitosis
and meiosis
