Summary 
The impacts of customs tariff policy in Azerbaijan on the total and non-oil economic 
development of the country are investigated in the article. At the same time, appro-
priateresults were obtained on the effects of a number of macroeconomic control 
variables included in order to increase the adequacy of the selected econometric 
models. Of course, these results were obtained in an aggregated way. That is, in terms 
of stimulating national production, the effects of tariff rates, such as customs and tariff

policy, have been determined in general. In this context, by assessing the impact of 
tariff rates on economic activities, such as customs and tariff policy, it will be possible 
to determine in which sectors of the Azerbaijani economy this policy may be more 
effective and, owing to it in turn the most efficient direction to stimulate national 
production.
